It's time for TK to answer your questions from the Ask TK video that was posted a while back. This video contains detailed and opinion based answers to your Android related questions. I'll post a summary of the questions below.
Should I upgrade my phone that is no longer supported by the OEM or should I flash an AOSP ROM to extend the life of the device?
"What I've done to extend the life of my device is go with an AOSP ROM. Ask yourself if the specs of your phone would still meet your needs and if the answer is "Yes" then I think you'll be fine flashing an AOSP ROM."
I have an LG G4. Should I upgrade?
"Personally having used the LG G4, I can say that the hardware is amazing, The battery life was fantastic but the UI fell short. I switched to a CM based ROM to solve these issues. You wont find many apps or games that can't run on the LG G4, and with a screen and camera that ranked as some of the best from last year, you will probably be safe sticking with the G4 for a little while longer."
With Chromebooks receiving the Play store, is getting a tablet still worth it?
"It's really a different environment. The Chromebook is running ChromeOS and not all Chromebooks are touchscreens. The amount of apps that will function the way they were designed to, is limited. The devices are still very different and it comes down to your preference of ChromeOS vs. Android."
Which phone is your daily driver?
"I usually carry more than one phone on me. I'm currently testing out the Huawei P9. The HTC 10 is my preferred device that I use for all of my personal data."
